The Most Cincinnati Race Ever
Here’s Why We LOVE the Race
For 113 years, over 12,000 happy people—families, friends, neighbors, colleagues—fill Downtown Cincinnati to run, walk, trot, and dance their way through a beautiful 10k on Thanksgiving morning. The standing-room-only-crowd is never in a hurry to finish!
Here are the top reasons to register today:
• The course, of course!
It’s the only 10k course that has three cities, two states, and two rivers bundled together in one memorable event. It captures the best of Cincinnati—The Banks, Fountain Square, OTR, Great American Ball Park, Paycor Stadium, and Smale Park—the best of Newport, and more highlights in Covington.
• The special gift bags for everyone.
The ProAmpac swag bag is stuffed with Cincinnati favorites—Tide®, Pepto Bismol®, Secret®, Gain®, Bounty®, PopCorners, running gloves, cooling towel, an optional long sleeve t-shirt, and more. It’s fun stuff!
• Packet pick-up at Fleet Feet O’Bryonville.
Five days of fun at the best running store in Cincinnati—easy parking, amazing customer service, prizes, and people. It’s a great party and there’s a big sale, too!
• The beautiful people.
You’ll remember your friends and family more than your finish time! Generations of families are always there, along with celebrities—Governor Mike DeWine, Fran DeWine, Olympians. But the real highlight is the diverse group of old and young, fit and not-so-fit, happy, and happier.
• The Cincinnati, Covington, and Newport police.
They keep us safe and healthy. It’s a huge job and beyond greatly appreciated!
• The volunteers.
They cheer. They serve 10,000+ people Alpine Valley water at the Pepto Water Stop. Mary Southworth has been singing the National Anthem for 15 years. The St. Ursula Academy Cross-Country team helps at registration. The volunteers love the event. They make happiness happen.
• The costumes.
From turkey leg hats, feather crowns, outrageous t-shirts, colorful tutus, pilgrim gowns and corduroy knickers to superheroes in full costume and super dogs, everyone comes dressed to impress … and catch the lens of photographers along the way.
• The cause.
Your run matters. Every step helps raise money for local charities, including the Barrett Cancer Center at UC, Girls on the Run, Alzheimer’s Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, and more.
• The sponsors.
Our corporations are so generous to all of us. Events of this magnitude cost thousands of dollars to execute. If it weren’t for Western & Southern, Secret, ProAmpac, Fleet Feet, Tide, Pepto Bismol, and many others, we wouldn’t have the privilege of running together on Thanksgiving.
• The ProAmpac Kids Fun Run.
Children smile with their whole body when they fly to that finish line. It’s a huge dose of happiness and inspiration for all of us and a special moment of pride for parents and family members.
• The ProLink Staffing Awards.
Great food. Live music. Healthy, happy, and thankful people celebrating Thanksgiving Day together at Paycor Stadium.
• The beautiful awards by local artist Holly Schapker.
Holly has created the most stunning watercolor in the race’s history. Hundreds of award winners will receive a print that portrays the beauty, tradition, and passion of the event.
• The weather.
It’s refreshing. The average temperature is a cool 45 degrees, and the sun usually shines with plenty of prayers and petitions!
