+ One

Repeat as Necessary!

34,000 feet hit the pavement.
Toned, trained and trying to reach the finish line.
Fast, slow, furious, funny, casual, comical, serious and silly.
A million heartbeats a minute charge by in a blur.
Your heart and legs have been waiting for this moment.

It’s time to add one more fun thing to your calendar---the 100+1 Thanksgiving Day 10k. In fact, add it to everyone’s calendar—your family, friends, colleagues. It all adds up to a good healthy life. Your best life. That is why it’s the theme of the 2010 walk and run.

What’s your +one? And +one? And +one? Lose one more pound? Train one more mile? Stretch more? Eat one more fruit? Take a deep breath? Read a good book? Sleep one more hour? Sing one more song? Take a nap? Eat a good breakfast? Volunteer again? Take a vacation? We are looking for 100+ 1 ways. Help us add to our list!

We all know that it’s the little changes in life that make a big difference --one tiny humble step at a time-- each and every day. Suddenly, miraculously you awake one fine morning and notice you have changed; and, you have changed your world. The trumpets won’t blare and the crowds won’t scream, but you will just know. And that’s the best part.

We are all in favor of getting better --- of course that’s not to imply that there’s anything wrong with who you are now. So go ahead, set your +one goals. No need to put your life on hold because it’s not the right time. Instead, have a good time adding more to your life—like the Thanksgiving Day 10k.

See you on the starting line.
